Meet Our Staff

Richard Murphy
I was born in New Westminster in 1978, and have always lived in Coquitlam, until recently when my girlfriend and I moved to Port Moody.
After graduating from high school in 1996, I had the opportunity to work abroad for six months in Belgium, at a studio doing live TV shows as well as a traveling road show for kids, which took me all throughout Belgium and the Netherlands. In Belgium I also worked in a live theatrical production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves in Flemish (a Dutch/French mix).
After six months, I returned home to a career in audio visual until the spring of 2003, when my girlfriend and I decided to travel to Europe and the United Kingdom for three months on a backpacking trip covering 14 different countries. When I returned, I registered for the Structural Drafting program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology where I began in the fall of 2005. At graduation, I had already received a job at the Whonnock office of Dowco.
On my 2006 summer vacation, my girlfriend and I traveled to France and Denmark. In Paris we were visiting the Eiffel Tower, when I asked my girlfriend to marry me, to which she happily replied yes! In my spare time I play soccer and baseball, and I snowboard and hike. I’m also an avid movie fan and book reader.
