Introducing Dowco Technology Services Ltd.

For years we have debated the virtues of separating our steel detailing business from our software sales business. Of course, there were numerous benefits to remaining under the Dowco Consultants Ltd umbrella. One such benefit has been that we always had an ample supply of capable experienced detailers and Tekla Structures users at our disposal to provide technical support and training to you, our customers. In reality, this benefit will remain as we still have the ability to draw upon Dowco Consultants Ltd’s resources whenever the need arises. The other significant benefit was to piggy-back Dowco’s reputation as steel detailers.
Making the jump from the world of 2D CAD to 3D modeling detailing in 1995 was a major turning point for Dowco, when we became North America’s first user and reseller of Tekla software. Using the Tekla 3D software every day and on every job, we were able to demonstrate to others the power of 3D modeling and detailing. Soon others would follow.
The primary reason for now separating the two divisions within Dowco is that both divisions are expanding to meet the growing demands of our industry. Dowco Consultants’ now global detailing business has recently expanded to 170+ staff, spread across 5 offices. Effective January 1st, 2007 another 22 staff will be added in what will become our sixth Dowco Consultants detailing office, to be located in Montreal, Quebec. Stay tuned for more details.
Thus, effective January 1st, 2007, your Tekla sales and support provider will be the same, but with a new name….Dowco Technology Services Ltd. |
