Dowco Sponsorship - Kristin Bauder

Kristin has been named Juvenile Athlete of the Year for CKBC (Canoe/Kayak B.C.), (replicating last year’s award in the Midget category.)   After gold, silver and bronze medals at the National Championships in Regina this year, she prepared herself for an International competition held early in September as part of Team Canada.    She returned from kayaking for Canada at the Pan American Games in Mexico City with two Gold and two Silver medals in the Junior Women’s Division, for the K-4 200m, K-4 1000m, K-2 500m, and K-4 500m.

Kristin graduates this year from high school, though will miss the grad ceremony as she will be in Montreal then competing for a place with Team Canada for the World’s Canoe/Kayak Competition being held next year.   The 2007 Junior World Championships had been scheduled for Perth, Australia, but the venue has changed and the competition will be held in the Czech Republic instead.
