Our new office in Kolkata, India continues to show signs that it will be an extremely valuable asset. The team has now settled into a regular routine of 4000 – 4500 productive hours per month. This brings the group’s available productive hours to around 21,000 per month.

On a more personal note, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Ashish, and his future bride Debosree, on their upcoming wedding. I’m sorry that I will be unable to travel to India to celebrate with you in person. From everyone at Dowco, best wishes and good luck in the future! We will be thinking of you on the day.

With such a large team, it’s always a pleasure to see the industry showing some more permanent signs of recovery from the downturn we have experienced over the last few years. There are again a number of large projects in the pipeline, including stadiums, high-rises, and convention centers.

On Monday, November 21st Dowco will offer customers a new service - the option to view the status of their projects online in real-time. This service will be available on a secure area of the dowco.com web site. This is a great opportunity to build even closer ties to our customers and the rest of the team on any particular project.

 
I would also like to congratulate Sanjay and his team for their efforts on the University of Cincinnati, Varsity Village,  this year’s winner in the engineering category of the 2005 British Columbia Steel Design Awards. Great work guys!
