The Dowco Group of Companies held their annual Christmas Party on November 26th 2005 at the Sheraton Hotel in Guildford, Surrey - a new venue for us.

The hotel was decorated in fine festive cheer and there was plenty of good food and drinks for all.  This year we enjoyed a live band, who sounded great and resulted in a busy dance floor with many of our staff dancing the night away.

Dowco generously donated some door prizes which were distributed by drawing the names of the guests and staff attending the party. We had about 14 winners in all and the evening was a great success.

Nick Rakic and Kirsty Newlands, representing the Dowco Social Committee, held a 50/50 raffle during the evening.  The total collected amounted to $530.00. The winner, Malcolm Muir, took home $265.00. Many thanks to everyone who participated in the 50/50. Also thanks to Sandra Rakic for helping Kirsty sell the tickets. 

Dowco has matched the remaining $265.00 for a total of $530.00 to be sent to the Vancouver Children's Hospital. Thank you to Dowco.

I would like to thank Dowco for hosting a fabulous night. It was a very enjoyable evening and a great way to start the Christmas season.
