Dowco Sponsorship - Thomas Cetnarowski Gallery Showing

Thomas Cetnarowski’s year-long study of Colony Farm Regional Park was showcased in an exhibit of his art works at Place des Arts in Coquitlam, throughout July 2006.

The opening was covered by the local press, as quoted in part as follows:

“There is a haunting dichotomy to his impressionistic oil paintings, an elemental play on sharp and soft, bright and dark, as whispers of shadow and bold strokes of colour speak to the ephemeral moods of the seasons.    Pinks, blues, greens and browns leap off the canvas commanding attention - and simultaneously peek out from a hiding spot within.”  It is this elemental play on sharp and soft, bright and dark that was showcased at Place des Arts this summer.

The Opening Reception was held June 29th 2006 at 7:30 pm with an introduction presented by the artist's friend, Ela Dziewanska, and a fine performance of live music was provided by members of "Classical Strings Quartet."   Dowco was represented by Susan, Hugh and Ewen Dobbie and several staff members.  The event provided an opportunity to view yet another side of Thomas' artistic endeavours.

“I was really excited to present my work to the public" - said Thomas.   “Now I feel like this chapter of my career is closed, and I have already started to paint a new series of impressions.   Hopefully in few months I will be pleased to invite you to my next show".
