Dowco Consultants was incorporated on June 8, 1970, which makes this year our 35th anniversary. To celebrate, we organized Harbour Cruises in both Vancouver and Toronto, as a Thank You to our staff, customers, suppliers, support group of bankers, accountants and our lawyer. A full report with pictures is covered elsewhere in this newsletter.

Another exciting happening was the opening of Dowco/Max in Kolkata (Calcutta), on July 26th. We currently have 25 detailers and checkers, and will soon add another 25 staff for a night shift, to maximize our 25 Tekla Structures Licences. Our Ken Mussato, Sanjay Prasad and Patrick Salitra have been working in India to bring the new staff up to speed. See report by Ken Mussato following.

We continue to receive our share of projects large and small, and were recently awarded the new Vancouver Convention Centre from Canron, which will provide us with work into 2006. Our thanks go to Walter Skwarchuck and Wayne Morrison for their hard work in estimating and sales.

We are adding new staff in Burnaby, Whonnock and Mississauga, and will continue to grow to take advantage of an improving market. We still have room for about 30 additional staff in our Whonnock office.

The past 35 years have been memorable and we look forward to the future with great excitement and anticipation.
