Tekla Customer Profile
Almost all of our work is commercial structures and Xsteel allows us to perform almost all of our detailing on the same model. It is also a true multi station platform that allows us lots of flexibility. Drawings come out clean on most occasions and those that are more complicated are easily cleaned in 2D. Xsteel exports well to other software programs that we use for production control and cnc machines. Customer support through Dowco has always been extremely positive and Tekla continues to develop Xsteel at an incredible pace. That is why we have chosen Xsteel as our only drafting program. Whitemud Ironworks is a mid-sized structural and misc. steel fabricator and erector. We have been operating for 15 years in the Edmonton region. We have approx 80 employees and fabricate about 5000 tons annually. We have tried various methods of detailing through the years from hand to Autocad to automated 2D then to automated 3D using Strucad. Each method inproved on the previous but never to our satisfaction. We switched to Xsteel about 3 yrs ago and never looked back. We now have 6 full licenses and 1 checker license.
