Dowco Sponsorship

Hockey Sponsorship

The Humber Valley Minor Novice Select A team appreciate the generous contribution from Dowco. These 7-year-old boys with the support of Dowco have been able to acquire additional practice time and participate in tournaments throughout the season. The boys are pictured here celebrating a victory at the Scarborough Young Leafs tournament.

Fort Langley Canoe Club Sponsorship

Dowco has been invited to the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Fort Langley Canoe Club. The Club is holding an open house along with the traditional Paddlers’ Classic Regatta Saturday, May 8th, 2004. Dowco is being formally thanked for their corporate sponsorship which allowed the club to produce a kayak boat mold for the production of entry level boats for its athletes. The club has now produced ten such boats, called “Dowco Pipers” for its own use and is now able to sell additional boats produced to other clubs.

Dowco sponsored Fort Langley Club kayaker, Kristin Bauder, has been training hard over the winter months for the upcoming competitive season. After a three week training camp in Texas to begin her rigorous spring training season, she is ready to compete. Kristin will travel to Kamloops this summer for the Team BC trials which, if she is successful, will allow her to compete at the Pre-Canada Games in Saskatchewan this summer. She will finish her summer of competitive racing in Nova Scotia in late August with The Canadian National Canoe and Kayak Championships.
