DOWCO SPONSORSHIP - Brent Hayden
Brent, who lives in nearby Mission, B.C. earned two medals in two days. He won the gold medal in the 100-metre freestyle on Friday, March 30th, along with Filippo Magnini of Italy, after both touched the wall with identical times of 48.43 seconds. The second medal Brent shared with teammates Brian Johns, Rick Say and Andrew Hurd, winning bronze for Canada in the 4x200 freestyle relay with a time of 7 minutes, 10.70 seconds. We are so pleased to see Brent competing for his country at the highest national level, and continue to wish him well.

Some years ago, our staff member Patrick Salitra asked Dowco to consider sponsoring a young friend and neighbour involved in the sport of swimming. We believe in supporting our local community so agreed to sponsor Patrick’s young friend, Brent Hayden. We have followed Brent’s career with interest over the years, and are pleased to report his recent successes this March at the world aquatic championships in Melbourne, Australia.
