I was born and raised in Whonnock, BC and attended Whonnock Elementary.  Now I’m employed at Dowco’s Whonnock office (formerly Whonnock Elementary!)  Wow …sounds like I don’t get out much!   I grew up on a 5 acre hobby farm with my mom, dad, my older brother and sister.  I have always had horses, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, dogs, cats, and anything else I could sneak past my Dad.    Growing up in Whonnock has been fun and I can’t imagine what my life would be like if I’d grown up in the city.  I suppose it has made me a Tom Boy.   If I am not at work, I’m camping in the country, fishing on the lake, 4x4ing thru the bush, riding dirt bikes, or boating.  It’s not often you will find me at a mall or in the city.

Personality wise I am outgoing and fun.  I enjoy jokes and making people laugh.   I am a positive person; the glass is always half full.  I am always willing to help someone if they need it and enjoy making people happy.

Well as I said, I went to Whonnock Elementary long before it became Dowco.  When Dowco moved to the Whonnock office I wondered what Dowco was.  Then one day, tired of commuting to work in Richmond, I looked it up on the internet.  I still had no idea what Dowco was, but outgoing as I am, I e-mailed to ask if they were hiring.   To my surprise I received a reply from Malcolm Muir asking to meet with me.  I have been working at Dowco for a year now as Document Control.  I have learned a lot, made new friends, and feel I fit in well here at the Whonnock office. 

I have recently purchased a house in Maple Ridge with my boyfriend Mark, so now I have to drive to work instead of walk.  I don’t have any children but I did just get a Boxer puppy which keeps me on the run. As well as working full time, I attend night school 4 days a week hoping to one day work in the school district with challenged children.  I am very busy at this point in my life but I always make the time to have fun.
