I joined the Dowcomax family in the Kolkata (Calcutta) office in March of this year.
My father was a school teacher and my mom is a house wife.  I have three brothers, and a sister, all of whom are established and working as detailers in different engineering offices in Kolkata.

I completed my schooling in a village, 200 km away from Kolkata.   After graduation in the science stream i.e. B.Sc. from Calcutta University in 1974, I scored highly receiving a B.Sc (D) with distinction, which excused me from paying any university tuition fees.

After graduation I then applied for admission into Poly Technique College where I completed my L.C.E course (Licentiate Civil Engineering), First Class.

Upon completion, I applied for and ultimately passed the Professional Degree Course i.e.B.Tech Civil (in construction management) under IGNOU.   Hence I spent eight years. achieving my engineering degree after my B.Sc. degree.   I completed all these engineering courses at night school, while managing my day job in the private sector.

I have spent 29 years in the civil / structural business.   I started my career as a Junior Designer for 6 years with the consulting engineering firm D.C.P.L.  Afterwards I became Assistant Engineer (Offshore Project) for 10 years with B.S.C.L. (Central Government Undertaking Company.)  Then I moved to TATA STEEL for 5 years as a Design Engineer (Civil /Structural.)  I then flew to U.A.E (Dubai) to join a multinational company as Works Manager looking after production of 200 workers and I remained there for the past 7 years.

I have a beautiful wife MITALI (B.Sc-D). She gifted me a sweet daughter MOUMITA (B.Sc Math Hon’s, MBA) and a son ABHISHEK (a student of Medical Science) in Chennai Medical College, India.   Now I will contribute all my efforts and share all my joys and sorrows with all of you in the Dowcomax family.
