Meet Our Staff  Ranjit Ghorai Dowco Kolkata I was born in Kolkata (Calcutta), one of India’s beautiful cities. I have two brothers and one sister. My father was a welder cum fitter and worked for a ship building company. Inspired by my father, I concentrated on building my career as a draughtsman in the civil/structural field. Then I joined I.T.I. (Industrial Training Institute) Gariahat. Fifteen years ago I began work as a steel detailer with a small steel detailing firm. Over this period, the structural steel industry changed from manual drafting to a 2D database program and finally to a 3D modeling program. I have experienced all three detailing processes. During this period I worked on steel plants, thermal power plants and ropeway. In 2005 I decided to join Dowcomax’s Kolkata office. I enjoy being part of a team, especially when I learn new things every day, with the help of my experienced co-workers. I have a beautiful family. When I come home from the office, I enjoy time with my lovely wife Vaswati and busy daughter Poulomi. I like watching TV and playing soccer, and also enjoy music.
