Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band
The Vancouver 2010 Olympics have come and gone, and the City of Vancouver has been transformed forever. The Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band was honoured to be selected specifically by VANOC for the prestigious and prominent role of being the Official Pipe Band for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Curling Events. No other pipe band has ever been so extensively involved at an Olympic Winter Games.

Members of DTSPB paraded the athletes onto the ice inside the Vancouver Olympic Centre three times a day prior to each curling session. The band also performed at the curling opening ceremonies and medal presentations. In all, DTSPB's involvement throughout the Olympics and Paralympics totalled 57 separate performances.
The atmosphere was absolutely electric for each of the performances as the curling crowd quickly became known as one of the noisiest in Vancouver.
The final days of the Olympic curling competition provided thrilling entertainment. DTSPB was proud to be at ice level to lead the Canadian men and Canadian women in a march around the venue after they received their Gold and Silver medals. The roar of the sold out crowd as 'Oh Canada' was played was an incredibly stirring moment.

With DTSPB's extensive Olympic and Paralympic involvement now complete, the band continues to prepare for two upcoming major competitions on foreign soil – the California Pipe Band Championships in Costa Mesa in May and the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow in August.
