New CISC Profiles

As there are now more differences between AISC and CISC metric profiles, we decided to put together a new CISC Metric profile catalog.

The notable changes are:

• Changed the cross-section AREA of W profiles to give desired weight per unit length
• Added missing square HSS profiles
• Modified all square HSS profiles
• C channels, AREA modification
• Adding k and k1 values as W profile UDA
• Rectangular HSS's, some need to be added, all modified for AREA
• Round HSS's, some need to be added, all modified for AREA
• New group "Historical profiles" was created for profiles which are not in the CISC list of recommended and typically available profiles.

We can deliver the new CISC profile catalog to you as one profile catalog (profdb.bin), or as separate lis files for each profile type. You can import lis files to your current US Metric profile catalog and not lose possible modifications/additions you have already done for it.

We will continue by changing the web thicknesses of US Imperial profiles to match CISC standards. And we are constantly looking for new ideas for Canadian localization.
