Operations Corner
Ken Mussato, VP Quality Management, Operations Manager

I'm sure it comes as no surprise to any of us that the last six months have been one of the slowest in the history of Dowco. We are in the middle of a world wide recession that has crippled the construction industry throughout the entire world.  We were fortunate that we had jobs to keep us busy up until last June.  In fact, we are still piggy-backing on some larger projects which we have been working on over the past year.  New work, however, has been very scarce and promised jobs have been postponed.

The most obvious side effect to this recession is the temporary layoffs we have undertaken with our staff.  Apart from that difficult decision, we have reviewed our operations and taken steps to increase our efficiency throughout all of our operations.

We have also increased our bidding, tightened up our prices and have actively increased our presence throughout North America and in the global market place.
