Project Report: Toronto Office
Eric Lee, VP Operations (Toronto)

Goldman Sachs (Area 5) – We have completed 95% of the 43rd and 44th floors and continue to work on the balance of this project, up to the 46th floor. Our goal was to have this area finished by July, but due to lack of connection designs and missing information, it appears it will last well into September.

Fedex Hangar – Eva Pohoriljakova and her team are still struggling through delays in receiving connection design from the customer. Nevertheless, compliments should go out to the team for getting this project done on target. Eva will move on to Monroe Absorber Ductwork, a new project recently awarded to us from Moran Iron Work. Many thanks to Vic Rupert of Moran Iron Work for entrusting us with another project.

Philadelphia Children’s Hospital – There were many ups and downs on this job over the past few months. Complications and difficulties encountered in getting work done on time caused some frustration for Helmark Steel. Frank Collins and his crew have finally completed up to the 9th Floor, except for areas on hold. Date to release the on hold areas will be decided in early September. This is a project we will certainly be glad to see finished.

National Enrichment Facility – Another new project from Hirschfeld Steel, a 2,250 ton Nuclear Power Plant in New Mexico. This project is scheduled for completion by end of November.
