With several large jobs reaching completion this summer and early fall, the Dowco offices will be embarking on several interesting new projects. On 1st June Dowco signed a master service agreement to provide steel detailing services to PT Freeport Indonesia on an ongoing basis. Zimmerman Metals Inc. also recently awarded Dowco another substantial contract; we look forward to joining Structural Consultants Inc. to form the same partnership that worked on the Denver Art Museum. Several other new projects for Schuff, Bechtel, Hirschfeld, Strocal, Moran, and W&W will all be underway in the next couple of months.

Dowco were well represented at the 2007 Tekla North American User Group Meeting held on 16 & 17 August. Sanjay Prasad gave a presentation discussing the Building Information Modeling process, with examples from the Denver Art Museum Project completed for Zimmerman Metals Inc. Simon Durkin, Sam Chan and Chi Gao also participated in the meeting.
