With the appointment of Ewen as President and Wayne as Vice President, I am now beginning to enjoy some time away. My garden is now looking great, thanks to semi-retirement!

As the company continues to grow, we will be challenged with our training schedules. We encourage everyone to train for moving up the ladder, from detailer to modeler, to connector, to checker, to cell leader, to assistant Project Leader and eventually to Project Leader. We will have a growing need for Project Leaders as we expand.

We have recently sold the ISP (Internet Service Provider) portion of Dowco Computer Systems and Dowco Chilliwack Ltd., and will be allocating some staff to Dowco Consultants and some to INSINC.

We will be renaming Dowco Computer Systems Ltd. as Dowco Education Services Ltd. and using the new company to market the AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) Web-based Structural Steel Detailing Program, currently going through final approval by the AISC. We hope to launch the program after September 2007.
