Quality Issue Log

Dowco Consultants maintains an operating system which is based on quality and continual improvement. It is our goal that each and every job is error free and without issues. This is why we have instructions and check lists to help us achieve the best product possible. Despite all of the internal rules and procedures we have set in place, things happen that directly affect how we produce the product which ultimately affects the quality of the product we deliver to our client.
The idea of the Quality Issue report is to identify these problem areas so that they can be analyzed to determine why they happen and what can be done to prevent future occurrences.
Each individual in Dowco has the ability to issue a Quality Issue (QI) report. This is done by logging on to the Quality Issue log through the Quality Management Files on Dowco's intranet. The user will be prompted for a brief, but informative description of the quality issue. Once the person exits, emails are automatically sent to a team of problem solvers who will follow set guidelines to ensure steps are taken to determine the root cause of the problem and to take corrective and preventative action to ensure the problem does not recur.
Once the corrective action has been put in place and the problem has not resurfaced, the QI will be closed. A log of all the quality issues and steps taken for prevention is maintained on the intranet and is accessible for reference by all of the Dowco staff.
