Project Report : Burnaby Office
Rick Station, RSD, CTech, NISD
Office Manager (Burnaby)
The 5250 Ton Phoenix Children's Hospital for Schuff Steel has all been detailed and sent for approval, except the Eyebrow which is still on hold. Tony Han and his crew have worked exceptionally hard, beating all the delivery schedule dates in an effort to keep two of Schuff's Fabrication Shops busy.
The Roof Steel and Snow fences for the 5400 Ton Solaris Lodge in Vail, Colorado for Zimmerman Metals has now been completed. "GREAT JOB!" thanks to everyone involved. It was a real team effort and a pleasure working with David Weaver and Richard Johannes. The only items remaining are some miscellaneous stairs and a few revisions being completed.
The residual work for Unit 1 & 2 on Maritza Power Plant Unit #2 - Boiler House from Alstom Power Systems is in full swing. Thanks to the cooperation of Thomas Hirsch and Lars Lusebrink, working with Alstom has been a real pleasure. Let's keep up the good work!
The 4,000 Ton 500 5th Ave. North Campus Project (Bill and Linda Gates Foundation) for Dave Ritter of Sellen Construction is approximately 70% complete. Wojtek Jablkowski's crew is doing a great job, working closely with Canron Constructors out of Portland, Oregon, completing the detailing on this Project.
Alan Ng's crew has been helping out our Langley office working on the first 2 Tiers of the 8,000 tonnes RDK8 Project for Alstom Power System. This should be completed by the middle of April. The Burnaby office will commence running Tiers 3 to 6, with the help of our Toronto and Laval offices, so our Langley office can concentrate on massive revisions and help minimize any scheduled impact.
The following names are Burnaby's Individual Achievement award winners for January thru to April 2009. Congratulations to:
- Cathy Yan
- Stephen Milligan
- Roland Trinidad
- Raymund Rosalin
Let's keep working hard and hope that 2009 will be as enjoyable as 2008 was.
