This year we have been faced with the challenge of providing technical support to the many new users, as well as to our many sophisticated long time users. Obviously, each has specific needs which need to be addressed in a timely manner. Over the last few months we have felt a need to up our service offering to meet this new demand. To this end, effective November 1st , we have moved Ted Yuen from our Dowco Consultants Ontario detailing office production team to a new full time technical support and training position for Dowco Technology Services’ Ontario location. Ted brings considerable steel detailing and Tekla Structures experience to the team as he has been the technical go-to person our sister company (Dowco Consultants Ltd) for some time. Some users may already know Ted as he has also been assisting the with overflow support and has delivered Tekla training to some of our Eastern Canadian customers over the last two years. In his new role, Ted will be responsible for all Tekla training in Ontario (and Eastern Canadian English speaking regions)as well as assisting in handling general support enquires from Canadian customers. Welcome aboard Ted.

Another addition to the team we are proud to announce is the appointment of Tero Laine, as Dowco Technology Services Technical Support and Training Manager. Tero comes to us directly from Tekla Oy’s Finland head office where he has worked in product support and development for the last 11 years. For many long time users, you will know Tero as the guy who ends up answering all the ‘unanswered’ or, ‘can’t be solved” support queries. We are both proud and excited to have him join our BC based team late November. Welcome Tero!
