ISO Report
Ken Mussato
At the end of October, two of our offices were visited by two auditors from BSI Management Systems. The purpose of their visit was the assessment of the continuing suitability of Dowco’s Quality Management system in meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and our company objectives, policies and procedures.
Our Surrey office was audited for one day and the Burnaby office for two days. Also included in this report were the findings from the one day audit of our Ontario office last May.
After a total of four days of auditing, BSI found three minor non-conformances which require corrective actions.
This action plan has been submitted to BSI and awaits their approval during their next scheduled audit in May, 2008. BSI also identified five opportunities for improvement which have been passed along to our management staff for their review and possible action.
Considering the number of processes that were audited, Dowco fared quite well indeed.
The full report is available in the Quality Manual area of our intranet page. It is worth reading as almost every process in our system was investigated for adherence to our quality system.
The auditors were very impressed with our new look intranet and with our new training videos. It seems we never cease to impress them with our advanced technology and our dedication to following Dowco’s ISO policies & procedures.
Keep up the good work.
