Burnaby staff awarded Gold Medals for Vancouver Convention Centre Project

The British Columbia Provincial Government has awarded Gold medals to all participants involved in the Vancouver Convention Centre Expansion Project. Jim McLagan, Vice President of Canron, presented medals to all Dowco project staff members on January 29, 2008. The Convention Centre will be a big part of the Winter Olympics, set for Vancouver in 2010.

We are all very proud to have been part of a select team working on this 18,000 ton project. It was broken down into 2 phases and had an overall schedule of 2 1/2 years to complete.

This will be a visible landmark in Vancouver’s skyline for decades to come.
