The Dowco summer family picnic and barbecue was held at the Langley home of Ewen and Holly Dobbie on Sunday, August 27, 2006.

The day couldn’t have been better…the sun shone brilliantly on the more than 150 staff and families present, and all had a great time.

The pool saw more than usual activity because of the heat and the kids all enjoyed the bouncy castle. The sports crowd were active, finding the hoops with ease and the soccer field as always saw plenty of action (with no injuries!!!) And the rest of us just plain enjoyed walking around Ewen's acreage enjoying the grounds and lovely ponds and sitting under the trees in the shade.

The food was excellent and plentiful - chicken, lasagnas, burgers and salads - thanks to Holly for the lovely set-up, to Ewen for barbecuing, with special thanks to Sanjay Prasad and Reza Mozayyan-Nejad for presiding over the tandoori chicken, having perfected their skills at the weekly soccer after-match picnics.

A happy, fun day for all......special thanks to Ewen and Holly for their hospitality.
