President's Report
Hugh Dobbie Sr.

Hugh Dobbie Sr The new Langley/Surrey office is open, and we are pleased to have Iain Brannen, formerly of N.C. Engineering, as our new Office Manager. Iain's bio follows elsewhere in "Details".

The lounge furniture, table tennis table and pool table have been installed. TV and gym equipment are on the way and should be in place by the time you read this newsletter.

We are currently interviewing prospective new staff for the Langley/Surrey office, and expect to add several new members in the next few months.

We are looking for new staff for all our offices, Burnaby, Maple Ridge, Langley/Surrey, and Toronto.

Completing the leasehold improvements for the new office in B.C's current booming building market has been challenging, to say the least. The coordination of the trades and the delays encountered when materials and/or workers were not available on schedule reminded me of the critical nature of the detail drawings we produce, and the importance of getting them to the fabricator on schedule. Communication between the various trades was vital in order to minimize disruptions.

As the largest steel detailing company in North America, we must continue to maintain our ISO Standards, and produce the highest level of perfection on our projects. Any and all suggestions on how we might improve company training programs and detailing techniques are always welcome.

The future is bright. Let's face it confidently together.
