After graduating from Britannia Secondary School in 1972, Walter enrolled in the Vancouver Vocational Institute’s Structural Steel Detailing Program. Walter found employment at Dominion Bridge (Vancouver) and furthered his education with industry-related courses at B.C.I.T. When Dominion Bridge closed, he worked for several companies, including Dowco before leaving to freelance. He eventually entered a partnership in a detailing company, honing skills in managing, estimating and design. Walter rejoined Dowco in 1993 and is now the Estimating Manager.
