Simon began his detailing career in August 1988 as an apprentice at a steel fabricator in the North West of England. For the next 13 years Simon progressed from the print room to detailing on the board, to 2D Cad and later onto Tekla Structures whilst gaining valuable experience from working in the template shop, with the fabrication shop and spending time on site.  Simon immigrated to Canada in November 2001 to work for Dowco and worked in a number of roles,  including Project Manager and System manager and technical coordinator. Simon took on a new role in January 2011 as Dowco’s technical Coordination Manager and is responsible for technical setup and support for all production work at Dowco Consultants Ltd.
