Scott's first venture into the world of steel detailing was in 1972 at GNE Engineering Ltd. which at the time was one of only handful of "contract" detailing companies. Scott started out in the print room and his 37 year career has included virtually every possible drafting office job from print person to C.E.O. (and company owner).  Scott also served as an instructor of the Structural Steel Detailing Program at Vancouver Community College for a two year period.

Scott's apprenticeship included studies at B.C.I.T., U.B.C. and one on one mentoring from senior drafting/engineering staff (as well as spending several months in the fabrication shop and on site).

Scott joined the Dowco team one year ago and is currently serving as Sales & Marketing and Senior Project Manager.  Scott brings to Dowco many years of expertise in a variety of roles in the steel industry.
